Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling (CIFM)
Treatment Time: 2 Hours
TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) approved, Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling (CIFM) utilizes the highest grade of electric dermal pens and is an exciting treatment used to improve skin texture, smooth wrinkles and fill deep lines with your own healthy collagen and elastin, relax and reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sun spots and enlarged pores.
CIFM is an alternative treatment to Botox. In fact, they can be used effectively in conjunction with each other, however in our experience having the right amount of CIFM treats many skin imperfections including, but not limited to: lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and more. It can increase natural (Type 2) Collagen by up to 1,000%. Botox is a quick fix treatment, but only lasts around 3-4 months and creates issues with eye muscle functions, creating new lines etc…. On the whole CFM treatments are cheaper and the results last 7-8 years and literally replaces your skin with stronger, tighter and firmer skin. The effects of CIFM treatments are natural and actually delay the natural ageing process!
What is Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling?
CIFM involves creating puncture wounds in a uniform manner to the outer layers of the skin.
A substantial boost of collagen and elastin is experienced as the healing response is triggered and connective tissue is created in order to heal the skin.
CIFM can be safely performed on all areas of the body and on all skin types. There is no risk of scarring or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (discolouration of the skin as a result of skin trauma) as the melanocytes and the dermis remain intact during CIFM. This is the major distinguishing safety feature when comparing CIFM with other invasive procedures that are used to improve skin texture and treat scars and fine lines and deep wrinkles, such a laser resurfacing and chemical peels. Matthias Aust, MD, a plastic surgeon in Hannover, Germany, has stated, “Unlike with ablative lasers, there’s no risk of scarring… And in addition to stimulating fibroblasts to make collagen and elastic, CIFM also releases growth factors, which non-ablative lasers don’t do.” (Deem, M., ELLE 2008)
What is included in our Deluxe Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling Treatments?
A two-Stage cleansing process is performed using Microcurrent Exfoliation, which involves sending a current into the skin and pulling out impurities that cause congestion and can lead to the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. This process actually creates more space between the skin cells enabling the CIFM treatment to penetrate more deeply and improve result outcomes. Microdermabrasion is then performed in order to polish away the build-up of dead skin cells on the very outer layers of the skin, leaving a smooth and polished surface for the CIFM to be carried out upon.
Collagen Induction Fractional Microneedling is performed using medical-grade electrical devices in order to gain uniform wounding and penetration of the outer layers of the epidermis and trigger a powerful healing response. The breakdown of dull and visually aged skin is instantaneous. The formation of new collagen and elastin growth begins quickly as the epidermis begins to rebuild itself, resulting in a clearer complexion, less noticeable pores and a decrease in fine lines, wrinkles and firmer plumper skin overall.
Blue LED Light Therapy is done directly after a CIFM treatment in order to kill off bacteria and create the ideal environment for cellular repair and regrowth.
Red LED Light Rejuvenation is performed at the end of our CIFM process in order to promote faster healing by raising ATP levels by up 40% and triggering faster collagen and elastin growth within the skin.
